On March 18, 1852, Wells, Fargo & Co. was born in New York City. Inspired by the discovery of gold in California in 1848, two successful expressmen, Henry Wells and William Fargo, founded an express and banking business that would connect the vibrant East Coast with the remote gold fields out West. The museum is also showcasing special exhibits commemorating the 100th Anniversary in San Francisco of the Pan Pacific International Exposition celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal in 1915. Hosted cocktails, wine and appetizers. Great networking opportunity with your fellow chapter members.
